With the rainy season officially here, I'm taking stock of what the changing seasons mean for my beauty routine — and my bedside table.
Check out the six inclement wet weather beauty products that will supercharge your puddle jumping days.
Room and Body Mist
Somehow humidity makes scents feel heavier. I’m addicted to Forest Essentials Body Mist Mysore Sandalwood & Vetiver that’s oddly invigorating and soothing at the same time. Just a spritz at bedtime and I sleep like a baby. Just spray on your pillow (it doesn’t stain) and your body (it doesn’t contain alcohol) for that zen bedroom environment. Added bonus: It effectively masks the slightly damp smell monsoons wreak on rooms.
Scented Candle
The one thing you’ll always find at my bedside is a scented candle. I’ve recently discovered Kama Ayurveda Madurai Candle made from soy wax and the finest Jasmine essential oils. It produces next to no soot and is the perfect mood uplifter after a long day at work. I simply love it!
Skin Supplement
Your skin heals and regenerates while you catch zzzs. So it’s important to moisturize and soothe your skin inside out. I’ve been taking Wow Anti Aging Supplement (60 Capsules) for the last couple of months and my skin, hair, and nails have never looked better. Enriched with Vitamins C, D, and E, it hydrates and plumps up your skin inside out. Plus the Vitamin C will keep your immunity high and monsoon sniffles at bay.
Body Lotion
You can’t possibly get a good night’s sleep without moisturizing first. I’m in love with Nivea Argan Nourish Body Lotion enriched with ‘liquid gold’ Bio Argan Oil and Bio Jojoba Oil, to give you 24 hours moisturization. Wake up to dreamily soft, smooth arms and legs.
Lip Balm
How can one possibly go to bed without applying a liberal dab of lip balm? I recently stumbled upon Yves Rocher Nourishing Lip Balm – Macadamia, a creamily gourmet lip balm made from Shea butter and Macadamia oil. It instantly repairs and soothes dry lips. Added bonus, it tastes like you’ve just bitten into a Ferrero Rocher chocolate minus the calories! How good can it get?
Hand Cream
Oddly the wetter the weather outside the drier hands seem to get. Hand cream is another must-have essential, and recently I´ve been using the non-greasy, paraben, and sulfate-free Anatomicals Night Time Hand Cream. It’s a creamy combination of Shea butter, Avocado Oil, and Vitamin E to satisfy ravenous hands
